We are looking to add a Business Development Analyst to our National Group Insurance Department. This individual will work at one of our offices located in either Alberta, Ontario or the Atlantic Region on a Permanent Full-Time basis.

What the Role Entails

As a Business Development Analyst, you will work closely with the Group Relations team to review and analyze Group Personal Insurance programs data to identify existing and new opportunities. You will be an expert in report generation. You will also be responsible to assist with coordinating events.

  • Expert in account planning and reporting
  • Work closely with Business Development team to implement new reports, enhancements, and / or updates to current reports and processes
  • Partner with – and seek feedback from Business Development and Marketing team users and managers to help re-engineer and modernize our planning and reporting processes
  • Ensure regular updates completed across account plans
  • Maintain an inventory of reports that constitutes the book of record for all a variety of stakeholders
  • Plan and coordinate project activities related to requirements or changes and act as an intermediary between IT, end users and managers
  • Collaborate on the various projects of the department
  • Participate in the production of various documents: business cases, presentations, executive summaries, etc.
  • Support the broader Business Development team with ad hoc analysis requests, as required
The Successful Candidate Will Have
  • Post Secondary Education
  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant work experience as a Business Analyst
  • Strong knowledge in using data and insights to drive continuous improvement
  • Highly developed analytical skills facilitating problem solving
  • P&C Insurance and Affinity experience an asset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge with PowerPoint and Excel
  • Design Thinking and Customer Journey mapping experience an asset
