    What you will be doing:

    This role has two distinctive assignments, one to develop new Electrical Contractor business and two to develop and grow a defined list of existing Contractor accounts.

    Business Development : Enhance and grow our penetration in the Electrical construction market within an assigned geographic area. The Business Developer (BD) will develop a business plan with the Branch Manager identifying key contractors to be targeted.

    Account Management : Develop, maintain a business plan, be the primary contact and manage assigned key contractor accounts. The AM will be responsible for maximizing account potential growth through facilitating the proper resources within Gerrie and their Partners.

    The role also has responsibility to:

    Manage all assigned accounts and be the key contact for all activities

    Identify and target new sales opportunities within your assigned geographical area. Work primarily with Partners, Manufacturers, Gerrie Product Managers/Specialist and Gerrie Resources Managers to grow sales and improve market share of our solutions

    Develop and execute an annual sales (Budget)/business plan for your assigned accounts. This will be done via CRM with Account Plans. Utilize CRM to maximize efficiency throughout our sales process and as assigned by Management

    Develop and execute an annual sales/business plan for the development of new accounts in the assigned area

    Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and sales and support for all products and services

    Work closely with Gerrie Project Services to evaluate bid opportunities and determine closing and pricing strategies

    Follow up on submitted bids and provide immediate feedback regarding our proposal

    Negotiate and secure an order on favorable bids in conjunction with the Branch Manager

    Grow all aspects of Gerrie’s offering within customer base and new customers with emphasis on the goals as given by Management

    Through consultation with customers, identify new opportunities

    Help all Product Managers/Specialists and appropriate Resource Managers identify target accounts for promotional programs and setting product/solution budgets

    Engage with teams such as Branch Managers, Resource Managers, Product Managers and Vendors to establish pricing levels for assigned accounts

    Responsible for (or assist) in product selection and conversions for customers

    Regular submittal of expense and call reports. Call report will be done in CRM

    Attend and participate in all internal sales activities as outlined by management

    What you bring to the table:

    Graduate of a post-secondary program

    5 – 10+ years of experience in the electrical distribution or related business

    Proven success in a business development and/or account management role

    Strategically minded with strong presentation, communication and relationship-building skills

    Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

    Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
