About the Role

Reporting to the Director, HR Applications, Brookfield Renewable is seeking a skilled and motivated Business Analyst with experience in Workday to join our team.

The Business Analyst will play a key role in the implementation and ongoing optimization of Workday, supporting a range of modules including Core HCM, Talent, Absence, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, and Payroll (Canada and U.S.). This is a hands‑on opportunity to shape our HRIS landscape and deliver seamless functionality across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide functional and technical support throughout the Workday implementation lifecycle, including design, testing, and deployment.
  • Post‑implementation, configure and maintain Workday modules in alignment with evolving business needs.
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Conduct system testing, validation, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Workday‑related issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Monitor Workday releases and assess impacts on existing configurations.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, training materials, and user guides.
  • Support reporting and integrations as required.

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • 3+ years of hands‑on Workday configuration experience.
  • Deep understanding of HR processes and expertise in one or more Workday modules: Core HCM, Talent, Absence, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, Canadian and U.S. Payroll.
  • Strong grasp of Workday business process framework and security model.
  • Experience with EIBs, calculated fields, and condition rules.
  • Proven experience in cross‑border payroll configuration (Canada/U.S.) and familiarity with U.S. benefits and collective agreements.
  • Background in HRIS or enterprise systems implementation.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into system and operational requirements.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Workday certification(s) in relevant modules is a strong asset.
  • A degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.

Note: Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on‑site for a minimum of 4 days to perform most effectively.
