Role Overview

The Business Analyst Enterprise Analytics is responsible for designing developing and maintaining analytics products that enable informed decision-making across WoodGreen. This role leads the creation of dashboards reports and scalable data solutions in Power BI and other platforms while ensuring solutions are sustainable consistent and aligned with organizational priorities.

This is an individual contributor role with enterprise-wide responsibility for designing and delivering high-quality analytics products and ensuring their successful adoption. The Business Analyst Enterprise Analytics serves as the bridge between data infrastructure business requirements and governance standards ensuring that all reporting assets are trusted consistent and aligned with the Enterprise Data Model (EDM) including responsibility for semantic data modeling within Power BI and other analytics platforms.

What You Will Do
  • Collaborate with Directors and Executives to identify strategic questions and develop data-driven narratives that inform planning investment decisions board reporting and impact storytelling.
  • Lead the evolution of enterprise KPIs by partnering with senior leadership to define metrics that reflect organizational performance growth trajectories and social return on investment.
  • Translate complex business challenges into analytic frameworks that produce actionable insights analytic tools and business recommendations to drive measurable improvements in client outcomes resource allocation and service innovation.
  • Embed analytics into operational workflows and service delivery models to enable continuous improvement and evidence-based decision-making at scale.
  • Design and maintain Power BI dashboards aligned with enterprise KPIs combining internal and external datasets to support program evaluation market analysis and community insight.
  • Explore and adopt emerging analytics capabilities within the Microsoft ecosystem such as real-time alerting and event-driven tools (e.g. Data Activator) to enhance organizational agility and proactive decision-making.
  • Develop reusable templates semantic data models and curated extracts that enable standardized governed and scalable reporting ensuring alignment with the Enterprise Data Model (EDM) defined by the Director and operationalized by the Lead Data Governance and Lead Data Engineering.
  • Build and maintain performant ETL logic and data pipelines that power analytical tools and support organizational agility.
  • Apply advanced analytics techniques to deliver self-serve and enterprise-level data products.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define reporting requirements optimize user experience and ensure insights are tailored to decision-making contexts.
  • Advance decentralized analytics enablement by training business users delivering templated assets and promoting data fluency across departments.
  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME) advising data stewards and owners on data structure lineage quality and usage protocols.
  • Ensure all analytics products align with metadata standards glossary definitions and access controls established by the data governance function.
  • Partner with the Lead Data Engineering to ensure solutions are built on scalable governed and secure data infrastructure.
  • Work closely with the Lead Data Governance to embed metadata standards glossary alignment and governance controls into analytics products.
  • Support enterprise-wide reporting and dashboard initiatives related to operational performance impact measurement and funder-facing disclosures.
  • Maintain technical documentation apply version control and participate in QA and user acceptance testing to uphold delivery standards and user trust.
What You Bring to the Team
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Data Analytics Statistics Information Systems or Computer Science.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in BI analytics product development or enterprise reporting.
  • Proficiency in Power BI (dashboard development data modeling DAX Power Query and performance optimization) and strong SQL skills for reporting semantic modeling and query optimization within analytics environments.
  • Experience developing scalable user-centered analytics products with reusable components and governed datasets.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling principles including star / snowflake schemas surrogate keys and normalization.
What Will You Set You Apart
  • Experience integrating and analyzing third-party / external data sources (e.g. public data market data social indicators) alongside internal datasets.
  • Familiarity with Azure enterprise data warehouses and metadata management tools (e.g. Microsoft Purview).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to translate business needs into analytical solutions and deliver insights recommendations and business cases to diverse stakeholders.
  • Understanding of data governance principles including data stewardship metadata quality and access control.
  • Demonstrated commitment to social impact and ability to embed analytics into organizational practices while fostering data fluency across the organization.
