About the Role
We’re looking for a full-time Business Analyst based in the Lower Mainland (BC) who thrives on learning, communicating, and translating complexity into clarity.
You’ll join a small, fast-moving software company where curiosity is currency, and every week brings new puzzles—product features, customer workflows, and the elegant spaghetti of real-world business logic.
You’ll not be just “gathering requirements.” You’ll be the connective tissue between our product team, customers, support, and development. This role grows with you: as you learn our platform, you’ll have opportunities to shape features, upgrade processes, and nudge the product forward.
What You’ll Do
- Work closely with customers to understand their needs, goals, and processes
- Translate workflow and business problems into clear specifications or user stories
- Support implementation projects: configuration, data preparation, testing, documentation
- Collaborate with developers to refine features, edge‑cases, and acceptance criteria
- Investigate issues or unusual behaviour; unravel root causes with methodical curiosity
- Contribute to product guides, onboarding flows, and internal reference material
- Help improve the consistency, usability, and quality of our software and customer experience
- Become a subject‑matter expert on our platform (we’ll teach you—there’s lots to learn)
About You
- Located in the BC Lower Mainland (role is remote/off‑site but with the option for occasional meetups and travel)
- Excellent attitude: adaptable, thoughtful, humble, steady under ambiguity
- Strong intelligence and analytical ability: you enjoy puzzles, patterns, and workflows
- Clear communicator: skilled at listening, summarizing, and explaining concepts in human-friendly language
- Confident but not abrasive: able to speak up, ask questions, and disagree constructively
- Feels at home switching between product, technical and customer behavioural contexts
- Able to map processes, break down problems, and organize messy information
- Self‑directed learner who appreciates structure but doesn’t require hand‑holding
- Experience in business analysis or software implementation is a bonus, not a requirement
- Familiarity with HR, payroll, workflow, or enterprise systems is nice to have but not mandatory
Why This Role Might Fit You
- You’d like to grow fast in a role with real ownership
- You enjoy both people‑work and systems‑work
- You like learning complex platforms and turning insight into guidance
- You want to be part of a small, human‑scale team where your work has immediate impact
- You’d rather take on meaningful puzzles than sit through corporate theatre
