POSITION OVERVIEW

The Business Advisor, Client Delivery - Technology supports the growth and development of Canadian entrepreneurs with the delivery of high-quality standard and custom digital technology advisory projects. This is accomplished primarily by helping clients with impactful digital transformation strategies and the identification, and evaluation of suitable business software solutions—particularly ERP, CRM, and industry specific solutions. The Business Advisor is responsible for managing project delivery, providing subject matter expertise, active engagement in sales support and for promoting the advisory offerings. This position requires a combination of strong experience, business acumen, interpersonal skills, project management and analytical skills.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET
  • Deliver a unique offering of standard and customized technology advisory projects, including strategic planning, system selections, implementation support and coaching. The focus will be on delivering professional, high-quality solutions that help entrepreneurs develop their business.

  • Manage project delivery by monitoring project scope, budget, timelines and resources.

  • Provide guidance and oversight to ensure project objectives, quality and deliverables meet expectations—being able to be hands-on and work with the project team as needed.

  • Provide “subject matter expertise” and thought leadership, staying current on market trends to support the development and evolution of practice solutions and tools.

  • Work closely with Client Partners and other stakeholders and add value by demonstrating product knowledge, expertise and experience to help sell new mandates.

  • Provide active sales support, engaging with clients to identify needs and develop solution proposals.

  • Contribute to practice outreach activities by developing marketing content and helping to promote the offering.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, commerce, or engineering with a focus on information systems; an MBA, or related professional designation is preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years in a management consulting environment, with at least 6+ years experience in the field of ERP, CRM, enterprise applications and industry vertical solutions.

  • Experience in a consulting firm is considered an asset.

  • In-depth subject matter expertise and hands on experience in systems and specific modules/areas of ERP for a variety of industries notably in manufacturing, construction, etc.

  • Ability to design and develop pragmatic consulting solutions that are relevant in a SME business environment and to provide strategic coaching to the business, as required.

  • Strong client and customer service orientation, with a clear focus on understanding the needs of businesses and translating them into functional requirements.

  • Ability to actively participate in business development, outreach and promotion activities.

  • Experience with conceptualization, definition and documentation of processes as related to enterprise systems.

  • Good understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, integration methods and tools.

  • Experience developing and implementing digital technology roadmaps

  • Hands‑on experience applying AI solutions within business operations environments

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices in the context of delivering services to clients.

  • Proven ability to manage and deliver standard and custom consulting projects and demonstrated project management skills.

  • Strong teamwork, collaboration and relationship‑building skills

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

  • Bilingualism (an asset).

  • Travel within a limited geographic area, with occasional travel to other locations across western Canada, if required.

Locations: Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta. Vancouver or the Fraser Valley, British Columbia.
