Join the Granville Island team, in the Building Operator position. The Building Operator is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and repair of the entire Granville Island site, encompassing 38 acres and 40 buildings. This includes ground works, utility services, building systems, and all related equipment.
Through regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs, the role helps ensure that Granville Island remains a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for the approximately 11 million visitors it welcomes each year. The position also plays a key role in maintaining code compliance and reducing risk and liability for the owner.
Base Salary: $66,677.70 annually
Shift Premium: As part of the collective agreement, all employees receive a standard 5.75% shift premium, automatically increasing annual earnings to approximately $70,510, before any additional shift premiums are applied.
