Summary

Building Maintenance Engineer (BME) is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance, routine and on-demand services on facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems within the applicable qualifications. The BME is also responsible for performing work in accordance with established processes and practices and for complying with internal and external requirements including but not limited to environmental, health and safety, fire protection.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
  • Performs work in accordance with established processes and practices
  • Complies with all internal and external requirements including but not limited to environmental, health and safety, and fire protection
  • Performs regular preventative and corrective maintenance on facility mechanical and electrical equipment

Monitor building systems and inspect to ensure facility uptime objectives are met, uninterrupted client operation, and asset integrity of the assigned facility are maintained.

  • Provides observations about facility, mechanical and electrical equipment conditions and deficiencies and offers suggestions for enhancement and repair
  • Monitors assigned facility by conducting walkthroughs, equipment and system monitoring, and inspections
  • Records resolution data within the service maintenance management database; ensures completed work meets quality, contract response and other requirements
  • Receives, tracks, monitors, and reports status of maintenance and repair work within the database; initiates documents to obtain formal approval of required work
  • Assists in the implementation of the preventative maintenance (PM) program; ensures deficiencies are identified, recorded, escalated, and related documentation maintained
  • Participates in and assists with facility-related projects
  • Maintains all assigned tools and arranges for repair and replacement where required
  • Assists in enhancing tenant and customer satisfaction and maintaining positive relations through manner in which work is performed and services delivered
Security berm Clearance
The successful candidate will be required to attain and maintain a valid and active RCMP Enhanced Security Clearance (ERSC). Applicants must have lived in Canada for a minimum of five years to apply for ERS.
