Line Lead - Brewing (Toronto, ON)

You will be part of the Brewing Team. You will independently lead and coach a 24‑hour operation, successfully implementing World Class strategies and principles to deliver great tasting beer to our Packaging customers. The Line Lead position is supported by a Process Lead who is responsible for data collection and continuous improvement and a Maintenance Lead responsible for executing the asset care strategy for the malthouse. The Line Lead reports directly to the Director of Brewing and is a member of the Brewing Leadership Team helping to develop the long‑term goals and strategies for the Brewing organization. You will lead Brewing operations towards a high‑performance team culture and drive change‑management initiatives to continually improve both plant and process operations to meet World Class Standards.

Responsibilities
  • Successfully lead a 24‑hour production operation in all aspects – safety, quality, cost, production, and morale.
  • Successfully manage a diverse workforce of hourly individuals, providing coaching, feedback, accountability, and direction.
  • Develop and lead execution of the 90‑day plan to address losses and build capability.
  • Lead the team to deliver departmental KPIs the right way by driving World Class Supply Chain principles such as centerlines, changeovers, defect handling, and clean‑inspect‑lubrication systems.
  • Develop and maintain a staffing plan for your line to ensure all business needs are met while adhering to budget.
  • Coordinate change management across the line, creating a culture of engagement and flexibility.
  • Collaborate with peers and cross‑functional groups on additional projects to drive the long‑term Brewing strategy.
Qualifications
  • Thorough practical and theoretical knowledge of key brewing functions: raw material storage and transfer, fermentation, yeast management and propagation, filtration, and blending.
  • Thorough knowledge of the interrelationships between Brewing, Packaging, Supply Chain, Quality Services, and Maintenance departments as it relates to product movement and production scheduling.
  • Familiarity with process control systems, computerized data logging systems and production database operations, mechanical systems dynamics, and basic electrical systems. Proficient in situational and systemic problem‑solving methodologies (5 Why’s, FFA’s, RCA’s, etc.).
  • Good planning and organizing skills.
  • Business acumen and basic strategic thinking to anticipate and respond to future needs of the organization.
  • Awareness of OSHA regulations, GMP, State Agricultural practices/policies, TTB regulations, plant safety regulations, FDA guidelines for food‑plant operations, and environmental regulations regarding manufacturing brewery operations.
  • Basic machinery/system technical troubleshooting skills and knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems. Understands planning and scheduling techniques associated with asset‑care management.
  • Flexibility to respond to frequent changes in production requirements, systems, and equipment failures.
  • Understanding of World Class Manufacturing and Molson Coors World Class Supply Chain 2.0 principles and practices.
  • Understanding of the budgeting process and basic financial metrics within Molson Coors.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated capability of SAP.
  • BS or BA degree in Brewing Technology, Biology, Microbiology, Food Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

At Molson Coors, we’re committed to paying people fairly and equitably for the work they do.

Job Posting Total Rewards Offerings: $100,400.00 – $131,800.00 (posting salary range) + 13% target short‑term incentive + $11,000 average spent on benefits per employee, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, retirement with above‑market employer match, wellness incentives, EAP, and paid time off (including holidays, vacation days and sick days).
