In this client-facing role, you understand the importance of customer service and the foundation of ACT. You will become a product knowledge expert, knowing all about what we sell and how to support our customers. General responsibilities include :

Responsibilities

Driving & Deliveries

• Safely load and unload product using the appropriate equipment
• Know our products and your route
• Know our customers. Greet and assist them in a friendly and efficient manner

When not on the road, you will be a valued member of our warehouse team. You’ll perform a variety of tasks related to product movement, warehouse organization and cleanliness, and customer service. General responsibilities include :

Shipping & Receiving

• Pick orders and prepare them in staging areas for delivery
• Assist with loading and unloading of delivery trucks
• Pick orders for immediate pick-up
• Ensure accuracy of order against paperwork
• Move incoming product to the designated location in the branch

Customer Service

• Greet customers entering the warehouse by addressing them verbally
• Serve them immediately or indicate that they will be helped as quickly as we can manage

Qualifications

Education / Experience / Skill

• Valid Class 5 drivers license - air brake endorsement not required
• Experience operating larger trucks required
• Moffett experience an asset
• High school education required
• Able to read and write word and letter / number sequences

Environment & Physical / Mental Demands

• Must be able to safely lift 50lbs
• Must be able to operate material handling equipment
• Distribution branch physical environment : noise, fluctuating temperature due to bay doors being open and going in and out of the distribution truck, constant stimulation of senses (visual, audio distractions)
