A leading importer/distributor of consumer products is seeking a Bookkeeper / Administrative and Customer Service person to maintain financial records and foster positive customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of relevant experience, strong accounting knowledge, proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel, along with excellent communication skills in both English and French. Qualifications

  • Minimum three years of proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and payroll processes.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and strong in Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills required.
  • Intermediate proficiency in English and French.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all accounts payable and receivable, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Prepare bank deposits and track daily cash flow.
  • Administer bi-weekly payroll and vacation pay for all employees.
  • File GST/QST/HST remittances on a monthly basis.
  • Generate and post general journal entries as required.
  • Provide attentive customer care through prompt responses.
  • Perform general administrative duties and assist with special projects.
