Job summary

The KPMG Calgary Office services team has an exciting opportunity for a self‑motivated Barista to join the team.

What you will do
  • Greet our employees and customers by determining their coffee interests and needs.
  • Inform people by introducing and explaining the coffee menu and answering questions.
  • Prepare coffees following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffees such as espressos, lattes and cappuccinos.
  • Maintain inventory by replenishing coffee beans, and coffee making equipment, as well as coffee bar supplies.
  • Keeps equipment functional by following operating instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to the organization’s health standards and regulations.
  • Assist the conference center staff if needed.
What you bring to the role
  • Knowledge / experience in coffee shop environment, understanding different coffee drinks, brewing methods.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Good ability to manage stress and prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
