Are you passionate about cutting edge technology and implementing technical solutions?
Long View is seeking a dynamic and results-focused AWS Solution Architect for our Calgary branch. This person is responsible for designing tailored client solutions, developing compelling proposals, and collaborating closely with AWS to strengthen our strategic partnership. You will be creating new service offerings, shaping go-to-market strategies, and serving as a subject matter expert across the AWS ecosystem who collaborates with internal stakeholders.
A Day in the Life:
- Work with clients to develop proposals for AWS services provided by Long View.
- Develop work breakdown structure artifacts to support proposals to estimate cost and delivery.
- Develop new and iterate on Long View AWS offerings, gather client AWS requirements to develop proposals and solutions.
- Work with the AWS partner contacts to ensure Long View stays on top of AWS partner requirements.
- Lead activities surrounding the AWS Partner Central portal for programs Long View is enrolled in.
- Work with the Long View branch Architects and Account Managers to engage with clients to support their AWS needs.
- Attend weekly practice alignment sessions with practice leadership team members.
- Act as an escalation point for in-flight projects to address scope, budget, schedule, and other project-related estimates during presales.
- Act as an escalation point for in-flight projects to assist with creating new Project Change Requests.
- Maintain AWS sales and pre-sales certifications in alignment with AWS partner program requirements.
- Work with Long View Partner Services to monitor, manage, and respond to AWS partner requirements.
- Provide guidance to the Long View consulting community on AWS best practices and news.
- Serve as the go-to resource for client RFPs or RFIs where AWS expertise is needed.
- Create presentation materials and marketing artifacts on Long View’s AWS offerings and solutions.
- Present Long View’s AWS capabilities and provide live demos of AWS solutions.
What You Bring:
- 8+ years’ experience in a sales or presales role.
- 8+ years’ experience working with AWS in a sales or presales role.
- Active and current AWS sales and presales certifications.
- Experience in a managed services provider environment – multi-tenancy and/or shared services model.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Proven success in selling AWS solutions to various market segments.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing environments and priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated, decisive, and able to handle competing demands.
- Strong analytical, mediation, and problem resolution skills.

$122,000 - $160,000 a year
Expected salary range between $122,000 to $160,000 plus 15% incentive.
