Job Title - Lead AWS Data Engineer

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable ETL pipelines using AWS Glue and PySpark.
  • Develop serverless applications leveraging AWS Lambda.
  • Manage and optimize data storage solutions on Amazon S3.
  • Build and maintain data warehouses using Amazon Redshift.
  • Implement infrastructure as code using AWS CDK with TypeScript.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to deliver high-quality datasets.
  • Ensure data security, compliance, and best practices in cloud environments.
  • Optimize performance and cost efficiency across AWS services.
  • Explore and integrate LLM-based solutions for advanced data processing and analytics.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in AWS services: Glue, Lambda, S3, Redshift.
  • Infrastructure as Code: AWS CDK with TypeScript.
  • Programming expertise: Python and PySpark.
  • Hands-on experience in building and deploying data pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred / Added Advantage
  • Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and their integration into data workflows.
  • Knowledge of modern data architectures and AI-driven analytics.
Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $110K- 135Kdepending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
