A technical staffing agency is seeking an Avionics Technician to install and troubleshoot avionics components of Twin Otter aircraft. Candidates should have over 5 years' experience, proficiency in wiring, and an avionics license. The position is contract-to-hire based out of Calgary, Alberta, with comprehensive benefits including lodging and per diem for meals.
Avionics Technician
As an Avionics Technician, you will work on the avionics components of Twin Otter aircraft. Your role will involve installing avionics parts, wiring components, crimping, splicing, testing, and troubleshooting equipment. You may also perform bench work as needed and will receive training specific to the aircraft. You will be assigned to one of the three primary cells: Fuselage, Panel, or Wings.
Pay range: $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
Lodging: Hotel cost covered 100%.
Per Diem: $75/day meal per diem.
Airfare: 1 round trip (start and end of contract), up to 10 hours of travel pay per round trip. Baggage fee covered.
Rental Car: Up to 4 contractors per vehicle.
This is a contract-to-hire position based out of Calgary, Alberta. The facility is located in NE Calgary and operates five buildings near the airport as an AMO where final modifications are completed. You will work with a team of four and a team lead, using on-site tools. The standard schedule is Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with potential flexible shifts including weekends. Beginning in mid-October, there may be an additional shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. This position is onsite at a utility aircraft manufacturer.
