Coulson Aviation is a global aerial firefighting company that operates in Canada, the USA, Australia, and Chile.

Coulson Aviation operates with a fleet of large aerial firefighting aircraft consisting of both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. With our fleet, we can run rapid aerial fire suppression, including initial attack and extended attack protocols.

Coulson Aviation is a part of the Coulson Group of companies. We are a financially stable and growing organization that has been in business for 63 years.

Due to our company growth and expanding footprint, we are looking to add to our team and hire an experienced Automotive Body Technician to work on our company assets, which include vehicles and aircraft.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

Coulson Aviation is expanding and looking to add an experienced Automotive Body Technician to our growing team. This is a great opportunity for a somebody with an auto body background to work with a dynamic group of individuals in an industry like no other. This person will gain exposure to many different and unique projects ranging from large, fixed wing aircraft and helicopters, ground fleet, as well as newly manufactured parts and automotive projects.

This full-time position is based at Coulson Aircrane Ltd.’s airport facility in Port Alberni, BC.

Compensation for this position will be competitive with market rates and based on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs repair work on a variety of automobiles, aircraft, and other assigned assets
  • Testing of components and systems
  • Using servicing equipment and diagnostic tools
  • Performing diagnostics on auto systems
  • Maintaining and repairing auto systems
  • Performs inspections on vehicles and other company assets

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an Autobody Technician
  • The ability to work within deadlines and under pressure
  • Knowledgeable on auditing processes for checking parts for defectiveness, performance, and functionality.
  • Works at a quality level that exceeds industry standards
  • Able to work independently and with a team

Preferred Requirements:

  • Journeyman or Read Seal certification
  • Experience in the aviation industry is considered a huge asset, but not required

This full-time position is based at Coulson Aircrane Ltd.’s airport facility in Port Alberni, BC.
