Your Role
  • Participate in engineering activities within multidisciplinary automation and control projects.
  • Program PLCs and operator interfaces (HMI/SCADA) under supervision.
  • Contribute to the design of instrumentation and control drawings as well as the preparation of technical specifications.
  • Select instruments and control equipment based on applications, with guidance.
  • Draft and update technical documentation (specifications, functional analyses, test protocols).
  • Assist in preparing bid packages and similar documents.
  • Collaborate with technicians, designers, and engineers to ensure the quality of deliverables.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Automated Production (or equivalent).
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • Approximately 3 years of experience in automation, instrumentation, and control.
  • Reside in Shawinigan or nearby.
  • Experience in designing instrumentation and control plans.
  • Ability to select instruments and control equipment based on application needs.
  • Ability to write technical documentation, including requirements specifications, design specifications, functional analyses, and test protocols.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (Beckhoff, Rockwell, Siemens, etc.) and HMI/SCADA interfaces.
  • Good understanding of electrical design principles and control systems.
  • Strong teamwork skills, initiative, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French; functional English.
  • Experience in engineering consulting.
  • Knowledge of industrial norms and standards.
