A major healthcare provider is seeking a healthcare professional to deliver outpatient asthma care and engage in research regarding asthma treatment. The successful candidate will participate in pharmaceutical trials and be involved in Clinical Research Facility. Requirements include completion of MRCP examinations and previous foundation programme participation. This position spans two years, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week with on-call duties.
We are one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
Respiratory services are delivered across four in‑patient wards with 22 consultants contributing to in‑patient care. This post will be for two years from August 2026 and will be based at Gartnavel General Hospital for asthma outpatient clinic and research time, the New Victoria Hospital for asthma outpatient clinic and at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH) for on‑call commitments.
The shift pattern for this post is 40 hours per week plus 50% on‑call.
Interviews will be held on 9 February 2026. Due to the high number of applicants, this post may close early and interviews may be held two weeks following the post closing.
