Role Description

This is a full‑time on‑site role for an Associate Professor, located in Sydney, Nova Scotia. The Associate Professor will contribute to excellence in teaching, leading research, and active engagement with students. Responsibilities include developing and delivering high‑quality course content, supervising student research projects, publishing academic research, and contributing to curriculum development. Additional duties involve collaboration with fellow faculty members and community engagement to advance both the academic mission and the university's commitment to sustainability and global outreach.

Qualifications
  • Strong teaching abilities, including course development, curriculum design, and experience with instructional strategies for diverse learners.
  • Expertise in conducting and publishing research in relevant academic fields; ability to supervise and mentor students in research projects and academic growth.
  • Proficiency in fostering collaborative relationships with faculty, students, and external community members to support university initiatives and academic programs.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in the relevant academic field is required.
