Job summary

A leading recruitment firm seeks an Associate Director, Legal Recruitment to manage banking and finance files within a full-service Bay Street law firm in Toronto. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of experience, a law license in Ontario, and strong analytical and communication skills. This full-time role offers hybrid work and excellent mentorship opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 2-6 years of experience in lending and debt finance work.
  • A license to practice law in Ontario.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Experience on securitization / structured finance deals will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day management of banking and finance files assigned by supervising lawyer.
  • Draft various loan documents and closing documentation related to lending transactions.
  • Represent financial institutions and corporate borrowers on transactions ranging from simple bi-lateral credit agreements to complex multifacility, multicurrency financings with multiple syndicates.
  • Representing both issuers and underwriters / arrangers in debt capital markets and structured finance transactions.
