Responsibilities

Combines deep industry sector expertise and innovative thinking to deliver solutions across Capital Markets platform.

  • Participates in deal teams to develop, present, and win mandates for new opportunities.
  • Creates pitch books and participates in client presentations.
  • Monitors client industry and regulatory changes that may affect client portfolio and business needs.
  • Initiates contact with partners for new client sales.
  • Directly manages a diverse portfolio of private and middle market companies with progression toward increasing client responsibility.
  • Reviews and monitors performance of existing accounts and client relationships.
  • Conducts due diligence (client visits, business model analysis, industry trends and regulations).
  • Identifies opportunities to diversify client portfolios and increase efficiency.
  • Provides analytical findings to deal teams.
  • Supports execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders and ensures alignment.
  • Creates financial models to analyze client portfolios and anticipate client needs; uses analysis to identify cross‑sell opportunities; generates updated financial models as dictated by business needs and industry requirements.
  • Analyzes industry compilations and applies technical concepts to deliver reliable financial reports.
  • Understands transaction complexity and related risks (credit, market, operational, legal/compliance).
  • Provides feedback on continuous improvement opportunities and integrates information for efficient processes.
  • Provides direction and feedback to Analysts; mentors Analysts.
  • Delivers financial modeling to support strategic recommendations.
  • Considers risk, internal controls and compliance and adheres to policies.
  • Works independently on complex tasks and may have broader responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • Typically 4-6 years of relevant experience and post‑secondary degree or equivalent.
  • Undergraduate degree with coursework in finance, economics, or accounting and outstanding academic achievement.
  • MBA degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of investment banking or valuation experience at a financial analyst level.
  • Knowledge of capital markets, investment banking products and applicable regulations.
  • Credit analysis experience/understanding.
  • Good knowledge of organizational portfolio management policies and objectives.
  • Demonstrates solid deal/transaction execution and/or project management skills.
  • Exceptional skills in quantitative analytics, financial modeling and credit analysis.
  • Expertise in financial computer applications and database management tools.
  • Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration, team, analytical, problem‑solving, influence and data‑driven decision‑making skills.
Compensation

Base Salary: $135,000. Salaries vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications. This position is salaried with potential commission structure.
