Who Are You?

You are an expert Senior Project Manager or Associate Director with a minimum of 10 years post‑graduate experience looking for the next step or currently undertaking a similar role in a similar environment.

Job Description

Due to ongoing delivery success and ambitious growth plans, Turner & Townsend is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Associate Director to join our Real Estate/Property team in Halifax.

Job Objectives – Associate Director
  • Team leadership of a section of Project Management personnel across Halifax/Maritimes region
  • Business Development – taking responsibility for developing new business opportunities with existing and new clients and identifying cross‑selling opportunities
  • Staff management – line management for Senior Consultants, Consultants and Graduate Consultants, including performance reviews
  • Recruitment – inclusion in selection and recruitment process, including interviews, input into resource management
  • Financial Management – use the tools provided to track ongoing margin levels and fee/resource forecasts for each commission
  • Knowledge management – ensure that key information and learning generated from each commission is input into the internal database
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Project Manager supervising construction projects of increasing complexity
  • Commercial or retail fit‑out experience is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a similar field
  • PMP certification
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Project or P6
  • Good with numbers, technology, and web‑based data platforms
