Job description

Turner & Townsend is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Associate Director to join our Real Estate/Property team in Halifax.

Responsibilities
  • Team leadership of a section of Project Management personnel across Halifax/Maritimes region
  • Business development: taking responsibility for developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients and identifying and acting upon cross‑selling opportunities
  • Staff management: line management for Senior Consultants, Consultants and Graduate Consultants, including performance reviews
  • Recruitment: involvement in the selection and recruitment process, including interviews and input into resource management
  • Financial management: using the tools provided to keep track of ongoing margin levels and fee/resource forecasts for each commission
  • Knowledge management: ensuring that key information and learning generated from each commission is input into the Turner & Townsend internal database
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Project Manager supervising construction projects of increasing complexity
  • Commercial or retail fit‑out experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture or a similar field
  • PMP certification
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project or P6
  • Strong numerical and technological acumen, with experience using web‑based data platforms
