Overview

We are seeking an experienced Capital Markets Domain Expert to support a leading banking client. The role requires deep expertise across front-to-back Capital Markets operations, with a strong understanding of trading, settlement, regulatory reporting, and key industry integrations. The individual will serve as a subject matter expert (SME), partnering with business and technology teams to shape solutions, guide data initiatives, and ensure alignment with regulatory and operational requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a domain SME for Capital Markets operations covering trading, settlements, clearing, collateral, and regulatory reporting.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and technology teams to define the target state architecture and business processes.
  • Provide expertise on market data feeds, reference data, and integration with trading platforms, clearinghouses, custodians, and regulators.
  • Support data transformation programs and guide design decisions to ensure scalability, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Review and validate solution designs, ensuring they meet business needs, market standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support process optimization and modernization initiatives.
  • Stay up to date on emerging regulations, technologies, and trends in the Capital Markets domain.
Qualifications
  • Required Skills & Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in Capital Markets operations within banking or consulting.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end trade lifecycle (front office, middle office, back office).
  • Proven expertise in settlement processes, regulatory reporting (e.g., SEC, CFTC, MiFID, EMIR), and compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with data integration and market infrastructure connectivity (e.g., DTCC, SWIFT, FIX protocol, clearinghouses, custodians).
  • Familiarity with leading trading platforms and order management systems (e.g., Calypso, Murex, Charles River, Bloomberg, Refinitiv, MarkitSERV, etc.).
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills to interface with both business and technical teams.
  • Experience working in large-scale transformation or data modernization programs is a plus.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed AI into workflows and support modernization initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with C-Suite executives and senior stakeholders, presenting complex topics in a clear, business-focused manner.
  • Stay up to date on emerging regulations, AI trends, and technologies in Capital Markets.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior consulting or client-facing experience in a banking/financial services environment.
  • Knowledge of cloud adoption, data lake/warehouse, and advanced analytics in Capital Markets.
  • MBA, CFA, FRM, or similar professional qualifications preferred.
