About the Position

Reporting to the Site Superintendent, the Assistant Site Superintendent assists with coordination of trade activities on site, including the implementation and day to day oversight of the site safety program, in addition to a variety of daily tasks required to execute residential construction projects safely and successfully.

Our field staff enjoy tremendous support from front office departments. Approachable Design & Estimating Teams eager to assist with any challenge presented. Your Management Team strives to provide excellent work‑life balance through manageable build volumes. Our goal will always be 20‑25 homes in one area per Superintendent with a full time Assistant. Our business model allows us the luxury of very few changes, very few customer meetings and virtually no warranty work for our Construction Staff.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Secure sites at the end of the shifts.
  • Provide back‑up duties to the Superintendent, conduct site visits with the customer, pre‑occupancy walk‑throughs, etc.
  • Ensure overall quality of projects meet Bedrock Homes Quality standard.
  • Adhere to and help overall safety of all designated sites, ensuring Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements are enforced.
  • Provide backup leadership to the Superintendent, particularly when they are away from site, appropriately operating as eyes, ears, and voice of the organization.
  • Related construction duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Three or more years of experience in the residential construction industry.
  • Understanding of construction equipment use, maintenance and operation required.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints is preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of framing required to perform minor framing duties such as installing wood stairs, landing, and railing.
  • Knowledge of various trades required in general house construction.
  • A valid class five (5) driver’s license and personal reliable transportation is required.
  • Criminal Records Check to the company’s satisfaction is required.
