Yukon Public Service is seeking a Senior Leader for Health and Social Services to lead operational branches and ensure strategic direction. The ideal candidate should possess post-secondary education in health science or public administration, along with extensive experience in senior management in health or social services. This role emphasizes teamwork, navigating complex issues, and fostering a culture of engagement. This position is based in Whitehorse, Yukon, offering a competitive salary and numerous benefits.
This competition is to fill a four-year term position. The eligibility list established through this process may be used to fill anticipatory permanent positions within the department of Health and Social Services.
In addition, this competition will be used to certify candidates in the Government of Yukon’s Assistant Deputy Minister Registry.

The division delivers services that protect, strengthen, and support children, youth, families and communities through the Child and Family Services Act, and provides secure and community‑based services for youth under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Reporting to the Deputy Minister of Health and Social Services, this position provides senior leadership for the division’s operational branches: Division Support Services, Family & Children’s Services and Social Supports Branch. The role sets strategic direction, ensures operational excellence, and serves as a key member of the department’s senior management team.
