Job Description:

The Municipality of Bifrost-Riverton is seeking a motivated individual with excellent administration and finance skills for the position of Assistant Chief Administrative Officer.

Duties:

  • Assist the CAO with operations of the Municipality
  • Payroll functions
  • Perform zoning and planning management
  • Act on behalf of the CAO in their absence
  • Applications for funding programs; Green Team
  • Assist community groups; Riverton Handi-van, Seniors Resource
  • Coordinate board of revision
  • Prepare and plan Council Meetings
  • Supplementary tax billings
  • All other duties as assigned

Specifications:

  • Holds a Certificate in Manitoba Municipal Administration, or
  • Professional designation in any related field
  • Experience with Munisoft or similar municipal accounting software will be an asset
  • Knowledge of Manitoba municipal provincial and federal legislation
  • Strong communication, people management, and organizational skills

Requirements:

  • Full time position (37.5 hrs/week), with benefits.
  • Salary reflective of their experience and qualifications.
  • The posting will remain open until a suitable candidate is located.

Details:

  • 8:30 am-12 pm, 1 pm-4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Rate of pay is based on experience.
