Role
The Architectural Sales Representative is responsible for promoting product solutions to architects, contractors, distributors, and end-user clients. This role focuses on early opportunity development within construction projects, building strong relationships, and closing strategic sales that contribute to the growth of the Ontario territory.

Key Responsibilities
Opportunity Development & Follow-Up

  • Identify and develop new project opportunities by positioning the company’s competitive advantages.
  • Meet with clients to design tailored solutions aligned with the organization’s sales methodology.
  • Secure product inclusion in specifications and construction plans.
  • Follow up on bids, negotiate contracts, and work to secure awarded projects.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity updates in the CRM to ensure clear pipeline visibility.
  • Monitor public tenders and general construction activity within the territory.
  • Present product lines and value propositions to architects and design professionals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, including regular courtesy visits.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams—estimating, production, and customer service—to support successful project delivery.
  • Conduct Lunch & Learn presentations for architectural firms.

Business Development & Representation

  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and professional associations.
  • Actively represent the company and help strengthen brand recognition within the market.
  • Keep informed on competitor activities and identify potential strategic partnerships.

Other Responsibilities

  • Contribute to sales meetings and broader strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare bids and support various sales-related tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Experience in B2B outside sales, ideally within construction, architecture, or design.

  • Strategic, results-driven mindset with a focus on business development.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English required; French considered an asset).
