Overview
Technorm, a part of J.S. Held is seeking a Junior Architect to join our multidisciplinary team. We pride ourselves on our architects, building engineers, and experts in building codes and standards. Responsibilities
- Investigate the origin and cause of damages to the building envelope;
- Lead investigations regarding applicable regulations in the context of litigation;
- Analyze components found in sites affected by floods, fires, etc.;
- Conduct meticulous research about regulatory requirements;
- Analyze documentation to establish pertinent information for investigations;
- Issue clear and precise technical reports;
- Schedule meetings with clients and professionals to gather additional project information;
- Prepare various types of reports for court and forward them to clients;
- Collaborate with the team to improve processes and work tools;
- Transmit the company’s values through conduct with the team and clients.
Qualifications
- A master’s degree in architecture and an interest in the technical aspects of architecture?
- At least 3 years of experience in forensic expertise?
- A valid card granting access to worksites?
- Proficiency in French and English for client communication across Canada?
- Motivation to read and research building engineering cases?
- An interest in communicating and simplifying technical terms?
- A vehicle and a valid driver’s license for travel around Montréal and occasionally across the province?
