Overview

Technorm, a part of J.S. Held is seeking a Junior Architect to join our multidisciplinary team. We pride ourselves on our architects, building engineers, and experts in building codes and standards. If you are passionate about the building code and seek a stimulating work environment, this position is for you.

Responsibilities
  • Investigate the origin and cause of damages to the building envelope;
  • Lead investigations regarding applicable regulations in the context of litigation;
  • Analyze components found in sites affected by floods, fires, etc.;
  • Conduct meticulous research about regulatory requirements;
  • Analyze documentation to establish pertinent information for investigations;
  • Issue clear and precise technical reports;
  • Schedule meetings with clients and professionals to gather additional project information;
  • Prepare various types of reports for court and forward them to clients;
  • Collaborate with the team to improve processes and work tools;
  • Transmit the company’s values through conduct with the team and clients.
Qualifications
  • A master’s degree in architecture and an interest in the technical aspects of architecture?
  • At least 3 years of experience in forensic expertise?
  • A valid card granting access to worksites?
  • Proficiency in French and English for client communication across Canada?
  • Motivation to read and research building engineering cases?
  • An interest in communicating and simplifying technical terms?
  • A vehicle and a valid driver’s license for travel around Montréal and occasionally across the province?
