Apprentice Pipefitter (2nd or 3rd Year)

Various job sites across Alberta

Full-time, Permanent

We are a successful construction and design-build engineering firm entering its 34th year of operations, with over 60 employees in the field. As we continue to grow our operations in Alberta, we are currently seeking 2nd or 3rd year Apprentice Pipefitters to join our skilled and safety-focused team.

Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, thread, groove, bend, and assemble piping systems
  • Install pipe, valves, and fittings according to plans and specifications
  • Join and secure pipe sections using welding, bolting, and cementing techniques
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
  • Perform pressure testing on installed systems
  • Remove and replace worn components
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs
  • Assist with other mechanical or site-related tasks as required
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Support a culture of safety and adhere to all job site protocols
Qualifications
  • Registered as a 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Pipefitter under the Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training Board (or hold equivalent trade certification from a recognized institute)
  • Experience in pipefitting, welding, fabricating, and / or mechanical fitting
  • Familiarity with operating equipment such as man lifts and aerial work platforms (AWPs)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Able to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Must have own PPE and transportation to job sites
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid safety tickets
  • Additional safety certifications are considered an asset and may be required for specific projects
