Qualifications

  • Must be a Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician Apprentice (minimum Level 1 or higher).

The Job

In this role you’ll work alongside our experienced technicians to learn the inspection, diagnosis, repair and maintenance of our fleet of trucks and heavy-duty equipment. You’ll gain hands-on experience and training to help ensure our vehicles are safe, reliable and ready to serve the community each day.

What You'll Do
  • Assist in diagnosing, repairing and maintaining diesel, CNG, gas and electric trucks as well as related heavy-duty equipment
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and document findings
  • Complete work orders, order parts and track repairs in M5 planner under supervision
  • Use power tools, hand tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and complete repairs
  • Work both independently and as part of a supportive team of technicians
  • Participate in training and mentorship opportunities to grow your skills and progress towards certification
What You Bring
  • Current enrollment as a Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician Apprentice (minimum Level 1 or higher)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn
  • Ability to read and follow repair manuals, work orders and safety procedures
  • Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs., kneel, crawl and work in varied conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise, fumes)
