Qualifications

  • Experience in rolling and sectional doors preferred.
  • Welding and/or electrical experience is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Comfortable working at heights.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with service and installation of various door and dock systems.
  • Repair and troubleshoot defective equipment.
  • Maintain proper truck stock and inventory.
  • Observe lead Technician interactions with customers.

Overview

This role is pivotal as the primary support for commercial/industrial customers, responsible for service and installation of Doors and Docks in todays every-changing market. Our apprentice positions offers an opportunity to grow with the business and become a master technician. We are proud to be COR certified in British Columbia, Canada, demonstrating our dedication to the highest standards of workplace safety.

We have a solid backlog of work and are looking for the right team members to join our crew! Our business is growing and opportunities to Install and Service many different types and makes of equipment are plentiful. This position will involve a good amount of out of town work in Northern or Remote areas, but LOA and Hotels are paid and great opportunity for OT as well as an $2.00hr Industrial Premium during these projects.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the service and install various products, including sectional doors, rolling doors, drop testing fire doors, vehicle restraints, impact doors, and loading dock equipment.
  • Assist with repair and troubleshoot defective equipment.
  • Assist with maintaining proper truck stock, inventory, and company vehicle.
  • Assist with accurate timekeeping; detailing job numbers, travel time, labeling equipment, and completing job assignments timely.
  • Observe lead Technician interact with customers, end-users, and general contractors courteously and professionally.
  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address diverse door and site requirements.
  • Assist with performing routine preventative maintenance.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Promote the company’s operational visions, values, and goals.
  • Participate in training or other team activities to support ongoing continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager or his/her designate.
Qualifications
  • Experience in rolling, high speed, sectional, dock levelers and mega door preferred but contact us if you have some or most of the above.
  • Welding and/or electrical experience is a plus.
  • Travel required (overnight, weekends, on call)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to handle a physical workload.
  • Proficient with power tools.
  • Independent work capability.
  • Service-oriented individual with effective written/verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working at heights.
  • Adaptability to a changing work environment.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
