Responsibilities
  • Concepts are planned by researching relevant information and materials.
  • Concepts are illustrated by creating examples of art arrangement, size, type size, and style and submitting them for approval.
  • Creating finished artwork by using the necessary equipment and software.
  • As needed, coordinate with outside agencies, art services, web designers, marketing, printers, and colleagues.
  • Contributing to team efforts by completing tasks as they arise.
  • Having conversations with clients about layout and design.
  • Using software such as Photoshop, create a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites.
  • Reviewing final layouts and making suggestions for improvements as needed.
  • Brainstorming image ideas with the marketing and design teams.
  • Creating rough draft illustrations in accordance with client specifications.
  • Specifying any budget or time constraints.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, in fine arts, or a related field is required.
  • Experience as a graphic designer or in a related field is preferred.
  • Graphic design skills and a strong portfolio are required.
  • Proficiency in desktop publishing tools such as Photoshop, InDesign, Quark, and Illustrator is required.
  • A keen sense of visual composition.
