Job summary

  • Weighing,measuring, mixing, and prepping ingredients according torecipes
  • Pleases customersby providing a pleasant diningexperience
  • Cook food invarious utensils or griller
  • Steaming,grilling, broiling, baking, or frying meats,fish, vegetables, and otheringredients
  • Serves meals byreviewing recipes; assembling, combining, and cookingingredients; and maintaining a sanitarykitchen
  • Check food whilecooking to stir or turn
  • Checking food andingredients for freshness
  • Executes coldfood production in accordance with standards ofplating guide specifications
  • Ensure greatpresentation by dressing dishes before they areserved
  • Adheres to properfood handling, sanitation, and safety procedures; maintainstemperature and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point(HACCP) logs as required; and maintains appropriate dating,labeling, and rotation of all fooditems
  • Keep a sanitizedand orderly environment in thekitchen
  • Working wellunder pressure and within the timelimit
  • Coordinates dailyfood supply inventory for cafeteria. Submits order tosupervisor
  • Monitor stock andplace orders when there areshortages
  • Helping lead andinspire our kitchen staff with the restaurantmanager
  • Instructspersonnel in use of new equipment and cleaningmethods and provides efficient and effectivemethods of maintaining work area
  • Participates inand/or contributes to programs, committees, or projectsdesigned to improve quality of service and employeeproductivity
Requirements
  • High school diplomaor equivalent preferred.
  • Culinary school 2-4year degree or foreign equivalency preferred.
  • Knowledge ofvarious cooking procedures and methods (grilling,baking, boiling etc.)
  • Prior experience inrelated food and beverage service and food preparationpositions.
  • Ability to followall sanitation procedures
  • Thorough experiencewith hot and cold food preparation.
  • Excellent physicalcondition and stamina
  • Good workingknowledge of accepted sanitation standards and healthcodes.
  • Ability to work ina team
  • Ability to useslicers, mixers, grinders, food processors, etc.
  • Able to handle workin a fast-paced environment.

Required Years of experience: 2-3 Years of experience. Salary: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
