As a Consultant in the Insurance Solutions group within our Technology & Transformation Practice, you will work alongside clients and Deloitte teams to advise, implement, and operate technology‑enabled services that drive modernization across the insurance industry.

What will your typical day look like?
  • Support delivery of client projects by implementing technology solutions that improve service delivery and customer experience.
  • Work with clients and project teams to gather requirements, analyze data, and contribute to solution design.
  • Assist with requirements gathering workshops, documentation, and project coordination.
  • Help prepare proposals, presentations, and reports for clients and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share insights and best practices while developing your own skills.
  • Stay current on evolving insurance industry trends and enabling technologies (e.g., Guidewire) to support solution design and delivery.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone with:

  • 1 to 3 years of relevant consulting or industry experience
  • At least 1 year of experience managing a Business Integration effort and project team through multiple phases of the project lifecycle from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, and testing
  • Experience in custom software development projects
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: requirements gathering (functional and/or technical), quality assurance / testing of functionality, development and solution architecture
  • Knowledge of the Canadian insurance landscape across property and casualty insurance, workers’ compensation, and life and health (preferred, but not mandatory)
  • Strong desire to learn in a fast‑paced environment and contribute to the end‑to‑end delivery of implementation programs
Preferred background
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Guidewire Integration or Configuration certification preferred
  • Hands‑on technical expertise in integrating with multiple complex applications, including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, microservices architectures, and third‑party systems via REST or SOAP APIs.
  • Strong expertise in both relational and non‑relational databases, including MySQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, and related technologies.
  • Experience delivering projects via an Agile/Scrum methodology and working knowledge of the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience working with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Trello, etc.
  • Strong knowledge and comprehension of standards, specifications, standards bodies (e.g., XML, JSON, microservices, etc.)
  • Strong software development methodology understanding, and have assisted in the design, development, or testing of a technology integration project
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Strong communication skills with both internal and client teams

The salary range for this position is $58,000 - $102,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
