Job description
Purpose

The Analyst contributes to the overall success of the Loan operations team located in Toronto, managing a portfolio of medium to complex corporate loans and letters of credit where the bank is the lead agent or provides direct/bilateral financing.

Responsibilities
  • Administer Agent bank instructions for participation portfolios in the LATAM, managing and processing complex loans in LoanIQ and other platforms.
  • Provide loan servicing and monitoring support for syndicated loan portfolios, including disbursements, interest and fee payments, rollovers, and accurate record maintenance.
  • Conduct daily reconciliations of syndicated loans, resolving cash‑breaks and discrepancies with Agent banks.
  • Review LoanIQ reports and conduct servicing activities to ensure all exceptions to policies and procedures are brought to management for resolution.
  • Promote process‑improvement initiatives across the department.
  • Apply the Bank’s risk appetite and culture in day‑to‑day activities and decisions.
  • Champion a customer‑focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Champion a high‑performance environment and implement people strategies that attract, retain, develop, and motivate team members, fostering an inclusive work environment.
  • Ensure accuracy of work and apply due diligence as directed.
Qualifications
  • Finance or business‑related studies or equivalent experience.
  • Hands‑on experience with servicing corporate syndicated loans preferred.
  • Solid working knowledge of MS Suite – Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Attention to detail with problem‑solving and analytical skills.
Work Arrangement

Work in a standard office‑based environment with remote options as applicable; non‑standard hours are common. Work may include Canadian, US, or UK statutory holidays.
