Qualifications

  • Experience on C208 and DHC-6 aircraft is a plus.
  • Knowledgeable in Canadian Aviation Regulations.

Job description

Department Aircraft Maintenance Reports to Director of Maintenance Location Ottawa office and SGL field project locations worldwide

Base schedule is Monday to Friday but must be available to travel for rotational field work around the world.

Responsibilities of the Position
  • Maintain the company aircraft at the main base and at field locations;
  • Carry out maintenance tasks as directed in accordance with the Maintenance Policy Manual and Transport Canada regulations, within the scope of licence, capabilities, and authority;
  • Consult with the Maintenance Manager(s) to identify aircraft, shop and field maintenance issues and to discuss maintenance requirements and problems;
  • Assist as required, to ensure the timely completion of company, customer and regulatory audits;
  • Ensure a safe working environment while maintaining a positive attitude toward personal and professional growth.
Qualifications And Experience
  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with an “M1” licence;
  • Experience on C208 and DHC-6 aircraft a definite asset;
  • Knowledgeable understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations;
  • Willingness to travel on short notice for periods of up to eight weeks;
  • Valid passport and driver's licence; and
  • Ability to obtain Transport Canada restricted area pass.
