Position

After‑School Instructor

Role & Responsibilities
  • Lead groups of up to 15 students through curriculum‑guided activities.
  • Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
  • Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with Snapology’s rules and disciplinary systems.
  • Encourage and monitor progress of individual students and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Prepare for each program by reading curriculum, watching training videos and/or participating in face‑to‑face training sessions.
  • Handle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programs.
  • Encourage students & parents to enroll students in future Snapology programs.
  • Participate in periodic Snapology training & staff meetings, as required.
  • Prepare class kits as required.
Qualifications
  • Has a degree or plans to obtain a degree in education.
  • Vulnerable sector check must be current.
  • 2 or more years of experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
Programs

After‑School Program (2:30 PM – 3:30 PM)

Hours

8–12 hours per week, depending on candidate availability and time of year.
