What is the opportunity?

The RBC Dominion Securities Abbotsford branch is currently seeking a licensed Associate or unlicensed Administrative Assistant to assist an established Private Investment Management (PIM) team. The successful candidate will possess a passion for service excellence and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment.

What will you do?
  • Provide a proactive client experience with a focus on problem resolution and attention to detail while coordinating with various departments and Portfolio Manager/Investment Advisor for execution where necessary
  • Follow-up on client trades to ensure proper settlement and delivery
  • Maintain current knowledge of client accounts by reviewing daily activity through internal reports and applications
  • Review portfolios regularly and re-balance them with guidance from Portfolio Manager/Investment Advisor
  • Utilize contact management system for daily task management
  • Respond to client account inquiries and follow up as required
  • Proactively contact clients to ensure accounts are accurate, up-to-date and compliant
  • Provide world-class client service to valued clients
  • Support advisory team and client through the wealth management process. Help gather relevant information, documents, and questionnaires. Enter data into specific applications (e.g., myGPS). Track progress and follow-up
  • Maintain an audit of wealth management activities and priorities to inform new opportunities with clients
  • Coordinate activities with wealth management and insurance specialists and in-branch consultants: schedule, track progress, follow up
  • Liaise with branch management team for updates on and progress with wealth management initiatives
What do you need to succeed?
  • Successful completion of CSC/CPH or willingness to complete
  • Exceptional client service skills and experience
  • Administrative experience preferably from another firm
Nice-to-have
  • Knowledge around Dominion Securities systems an asset
  • Undergraduate degree
  • The ideal candidate should have at least 2-4 years of experience in the investment field working as an assistant/associate
  • Past experience with PIM trading execution

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable incentive payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals; market conditions; and business needs.

The expected base salary range for this position is $37,500 - $45,000.

This position may be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable incentive payment up to 1.5x base salary.
