Job summary

A family-style restaurant group in Whitehorse, Yukon, is seeking an administrative assistant to manage office tasks including scheduling, organizing conferences, and maintaining filing systems. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and 1 to 2 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in English is essential. This role is on-site only, with no remote option available.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in English is required.

  • Record and prepare minutes of meetings, seminars and conferences.
  • Determine and establish office procedures and routines.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments.
  • Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages.
  • Answer electronic inquiries.
  • Compile data, statistics and other information.
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory.
  • Greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas.
  • Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems.
  • Type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents.
