A public health organization in Campbell River seeks an Activity Aide to support patient engagement through activation and socialization programs in a medical-surgical unit. The ideal candidate should possess Grade 12 education, completion of an Activity Assistant Program, and a minimum of two years related experience. Reporting to the Manager or designate and under the general supervision of the Clinical Coordinator or designate, the Activity Aide assists the care team with the provision of activation and socialization programs for designated patient cohort within a medical-surgical hospital unit setting.
Grade 12 and completion of a recognized Activity Assistant Program or recognized recreational courses such as handicrafts, plus two (2) years of recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
