The Activate Strategic Functions New Graduate Development Program is designed to kick start your career at Scotiabank with endless possibilities! Within this program, you will choose a stream in the Strategic Functions space to specialize in - this includes Marketing, Human Resources, Risk Management, Accounting, Audit, Finance, Compliance and Group Treasury. If you are looking to fulfill your CPA designation requirements, one of our streams includes a Pre-Approved CPA program that provides you with the experience and mentorship required to achieve your designation within a 30-month timeframe. In all streams of the Activate Program, you will have access to personalized skill-building workshops and challenging work-integrated opportunities that will rapidly accelerate your career development and help you unlock your full potential.

As part of this Activate stream, you will rotate through two strategic areas:
Compliance & AML provides exposure to all the business units and support functions across the Bank and have teams with specialized mandates and expertise on Artificial Intelligence, Data, Financial Crime, Behavioural Science, Privacy, Regulatory Relations, Risk Assessments, Testing, among others.

You will join our Activate Development program as a full-time permanent employee and will spend 18-months rotating through pre-determined areas that will challenge you and provide you with opportunities to learn and grow into a Strategic Functions professional.

It also provides you with the opportunity to discover your passions and learn more about them. Our goal at the end of the program is to land you in a permanent role in your area of focus – after 3 rotations, you’ll be set up to hit the ground running!
