Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage post‑closing activities by preparing summaries, scanning schedules, and ensuring accurate documentation in Canadian Natural’s systems
  • Organize, compile, and digitize Closing Books, maintaining a meticulous record of high‑value acquisitions and divestitures
  • Distribute post‑closing packages to key teams—including Contracts, Joint Ventures, Marketing, Land, and Accounting—ensuring smooth handoffs
  • Handle third‑party documentation distribution, track responses, and maintain compliance with contractual obligations
  • Partner with A&D Lawyers on agreement amendments, diarized matters, and preparation of critical post‑closing documents
  • Update Canadian Natural’s land system (QBLM), oversee virtual data rooms, and manage secure storage of sale files and Closing Books

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Minimum 2 plus years in oil and gas, Land, or Legal Administration with relevant post‑secondary education
  • Certifications in Land Administration, oil and gas, or Legal Administration are highly valued
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and adept at working with land systems such as QBLM
  • Experience managing virtual data room platforms (e.g., Firmex) and handling electronic asset files
  • Strong ability to interpret and manage technical land/legal documentation, including AB, BC, and SK land descriptions, in high‑volume environments
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, and a proven track record of thriving in team‑based settings
