Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities include identifying opportunities through key customer contacts and industry information, locating sources for sale of company products and services, preparing documentation for prospective current customers, and ensuring it is communicated appropriately.

  • Build and maintain favorable client relationships
  • Ensure customer needs or enquires are met in a prompt, professional manner through effective communications, and follow customer complaints to satisfactory resolution
  • Interpret customer concerns and mobilize the necessary internal resources to assure customer satisfaction while minimizing cost and resource disruption

Portfolio Growth and Retention

  • Understand financial goals and expectations of the company, and meet and/or exceed assigned sales and customer objectives
  • Support the planning, development and implementation of sales strategies to complete negotiations aligned with internal strategy and customer requirements
  • Assemble and present information for service and fixed priced repair offerings
  • Identify and pursue potential customers to drive and support strategic growth objectives
  • Analyze customer needs and secure desirable business through the application of company products and services
  • Work with owner and building management in obtaining maintenance agreements, renewal of agreements, and updates to their system to meet new code requirements or via new technologies

Process Management and Administration

  • Create sales proposals and prepare estimates for the sale of company products and services
  • Assure full utilization of systems and follow best demonstrated practices (BDP)
  • Prepare and maintain required customer information and files in accordance with established procedures
  • Work in cooperation with Contract Control on sales contract agreements
  • Accounts receivable management for assigned accounts
  • Participate in company professional development programs to enhance working knowledge of elevator company products, services and procedures
Qualifications
  • Post Secondary – preferably in Business or Engineering
  • 3 - 5 years in elevator industry is preferred but related experience, or a similar industry which includes the sales and servicing of capital equipment will be considered
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Communication: Clear and articulate written and verbal communication
  • Customer Service: Focus on customer satisfaction and service quality
  • Negotiation: Ability to negotiate persuasively and effectively
  • Persuasion: Motivate customers to act to support business growth
  • Presentation: Ability to present materials clearly and engage audiences
  • Problem Solving: Analyze problems, explore alternatives, develop solutions
  • Teamwork: Ability to work with all levels of the organization
