Job summary

A leading global digital solutions provider is seeking an experienced software sales executive for the Western Canada area, preferably in Calgary, Edmonton, or Vancouver. Responsibilities include generating new business and upselling existing accounts. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree, at least 5 years of sales experience, and expertise in the Public Safety industry. This role involves significant travel and remote work flexibility.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years executive software sales experience.
  • Public Safety industry experience at the local government level preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Job description

Job Location (Short): Madison, United States

Workplace Type: Remote

Business Unit: SIG

Responsibilities

This position is part of global Public Safety Sales team whose requirements are to generate new business and upsell existing accounts in the Western Canada area - preferably Calgary, Edmonton or Vancouver.

Some of the responsibilities include the following:

  • Large complex software solution selling to new logo customers
  • Prospecting and closing new accounts
  • Supporting, upselling, and migrating existing accounts
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, delivery schedules, etc.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies
  • Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales as well as utilizing SalesForce.com for forecasting
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Preferred candidate location: Western Canada region
Education / Qualifications
  • A completed bachelor’s degree in business or another related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years executive software sales experience
  • Public Safety industry experience at the local government level, preferred
  • Demonstrated skills in closing, territory management, prospecting, presentations, negotiation and product knowledge
  • Experience with meeting sales goals, this position is based on a quota
  • Must display self-confidence and a motivation for sales
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills especially presentation Skills
  • Demonstrated experience with managing client relationships
  • Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Travel is 50-75%
