Athabasca University's Learning Services Tutorial Department is seeking a temporary Academic Expert Marker for the following course ending August 2026: ADMN 405 Capstone II: Application and Integration of Contemporary Business Topics
A minimum of a Master's degree is required (PhD preferred) in strategic management, leadership, organizational behaviour or industrial psychology. Strong people management skills are an asset.
The successful candidate will have subject matter expertise and be responsible for providing academic assistance to students, for marking assignments, and for assigning and recording final grades. Teaching experience at a post-secondary level is required. Experience in distance learning and familiarity with digital teaching technologies and online course delivery are preferred. Experience with adult education and Brightspace online course delivery is considered an asset. Along with the relevant academic credentials mentioned above, this position requires excellent communication, organizational, administration and online/computer skills. The successful candidate should have demonstrated ability to maintain a high academic standard, maintain accurate student records, and return students' work promptly and within the University\'s required service standards. Candidates must own or have access to a computer and internet with the capability to communicate with the University and students and the ability to run any applications required to perform tutorial support.

Non-doctoral prepared employees: $31.01 per hour.
Doctoral prepared employees: $32.24 per hour.
