  • Registered as a 4th Year Apprentice with provincial/territorial regulatory body.
  • Experience with hydronic systems.
  • Mechanical/boiler room experience.

Responsibilities

  • Build, assemble, install, repair, and maintain mechanical systems.
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, and solder piping systems.

Skills

Commercial and Industrial construction experience
Ability to work with a variety of individuals

Job description

Wildstone is a General Contractor currently looking for a 4th Year Apprentice or Journeyperson Plumber to join our Mechanical team. Here are the types of projects we work on – Wastewater/Water Treatment Plants, Energy and institutional projects, new multi-family builds, and commercial builds.

You’ll travel for work to locations throughout BC, the Yukon and occasionally the Northwest Territories. Our crews typically work 21/7 rotations, travel in and out of various locations, work 10-hour shifts on average. Perks include well-maintained crew housing, flights to and from site from the nearest airport, a Living Out Allowance, full benefits, and an RSP program.

In this role, you’ll work independently, collaborate with skilled tradespeople, and support our Journeyperson Plumbers as you continue to learn the trade.

Responsibilities
  • Build, assemble, install, repair, and maintain mechanical systems.
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Layout equipment and pipe routes.
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, solder, groove, crimp, and glue piping systems.
  • Ensure proper tools for job are assembled at the work site.
  • Understand proper installation methods of pipe systems and related equipment.
  • Proper care and handling of equipment used on site.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Take direction from Team Leads / Journeyperson Plumbers
  • We value flexibility, so you’ll also be ready to take on other tasks as needed.

Requirements
  • Red Seal Journeyperson Plumber or registered as a 4th Year Apprentice with provincial/territorial regulatory body

  • Experience working on renovations and modifications on commercial projects
  • Experience with hydronic systems
  • Mechanical/boiler room experience
  • A strong safety record.
  • Ability to work with a variety of individuals and work in a team.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain the following tickets: Fall Protection, WHMIS 2015, Elevated Work Platform, and Level 1 First Aid
