Eligibility

This posting is for a 4-month Student Summer 2026 placement with a start date of May 2026 and an end date of August 2026. To be eligible, you must either:

  • Be returning to school after the work term end date of August 2026; or
  • If you are not returning to school (i.e., are graduating in April/August 2026) but require the work term as a mandatory component to graduate successfully.

Job Overview

The Direct Investing team within Wealth Management is seeking an Analyst to support the team in Toronto, and to support team initiatives across Canada. The Analyst will support the team in the preparation and delivery of business requirements, presentations, research materials, proposals, data models, and documentation. The Direct Investing team is a strategically important business unit for Wealth Management as we continue to rapidly evolve our self-directed brokerage to meet the needs of Canadians across the investing spectrum. The team is at the forefront of product, technology, and operational evolution as it rapidly grows its offerings to help Canadians accumulate and grow their wealth. This position is ideally suited for a candidate seeking retail banking, product, technology, investing, and/or client data experience.

Responsibilities
  • Work with business partners to define, develop and document detailed business requirements
  • Lead/participate in the design, implementation and management of new analytics & reporting solutions
  • Design and produce regular ad-hoc reports, and dashboards
  • Break down strategic problems, and analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations
  • Integrate information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and/or streamlined reporting
  • Contribute to the articulation of results/ conclusions/ memos of product/strategic/technological initiatives and communicate to key stakeholders across Wealth Management
  • Build effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders
  • Contribute to defined projects or tasks under direct supervision
  • Document processes or upgrade existing procedure manuals
  • Develop product or service knowledge and competence in tools and business processes used in the department
Required Qualifications
  • Working toward an undergraduate degree with a focus in Business, Technology, Economics, or other related fields
  • Strong computer literacy with emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel presentation skills
  • Ability to use research tools to extract relevant background material for business development and transaction support
  • Strong personal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment under time constraints
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Prior experience in financial services and ability to manage complex concepts
  • Knowledge of and interest in the investing world
