Qualifications

  • Ability to perform physical work including lifting, walking, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Operate ride‑on and walk‑behind mowers, trimmers, and related equipment.
  • Perform routine mowing, trimming, edging, and debris removal.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and report safety concerns.
  • Follow safety procedures and Town policies.
  • Maintain a professional presence when interacting with the public.
  • Assist with additional parks duties as assigned.

The Town is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Labourer to support parks, open spaces, and property maintenance. This position is responsible for operating mowing and grounds maintenance equipment to ensure safe, clean, and well-maintained public spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate ride‑on and walk‑behind mowers, trimmers, and related grounds maintenance equipment.
  • Perform routine mowing, trimming, edging, and debris removal in parks, road allowances, and municipal properties.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Follow established safety procedures, traffic control requirements, and Town policies.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous presence when interacting with the public.
  • Assist with additional parks and public works duties as assigned.
