Overview

2026 Process Engineering Co-op Student — 8-month or 12-month term beginning January 2026 (one vacancy).

Dryden Fibre Canada is currently accepting applications for either an 8-month or a 12-month term beginning January 2026.

The city of Dryden is located on the North shoreline of the Wabigoon Chain of Lakes along the Trans-Canada Highway. It is located midway between Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Thunder Bay, Ontario, and is surrounded by wilderness, lakes, and landscapes.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor, analyze and interpret process data, to optimize throughput, minimize costs, and enhance safety and environmental compliance.
  • Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to support the planning and execution of continuous improvement activities.
  • Support the success of on-going capital investment projects by assisting with project planning, data collection, process analysis, and implementation of solutions.
  • Support the continuing effectiveness and improvement of our Quality Management, Environmental Management, Process Safety, and Continuous Improvement processes.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a chemical engineering, industrial engineering, or mechanical engineering degree program on a full-time basis, as a 3rd year or 4th year student.
  • Strong willingness to learn new concepts and a desire to drive excellence.
  • A safety-oriented mindset with the desire to enforce and follow mill safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Strong computer skills including experience with Excel and Word.
  • Ability to provide analytical, administrative, and problem-solving support.
